MCP Server options for admins

At HTB, the introduction of Model Context Protocol (MCP) enables AI models to communicate with the API through tools built on top of the CTF functionalities.
We recognize some admins and participants may prefer to restrict AI usage, for instance, when benchmarking participants or to avoid AI-assisted competition. Even though AI models are already used by some players, we believe in giving full control to event organizers.
That’s why admins now have three options under CTF settings to manage MCP usage:
Disabled (default): AI usage is not permitted
Enabled: AI usage is optional for participants
MCP Only: Only participants using MCP can join and compete
